Westmed Medical Group recognized as 2018 Best Workplaces
PURCHASE – Westmed Medical Group has been recognized as one of the 2018 Best Workplaces in Health Care & Biopharma by Fortune and Great Place to Work, a research and consulting firm. The multi-specialty medical practice took the 21st spot on the list, moving up from No. 27 last year. This is the second year in a row that Fortune recognized the Purchase-based medical group as a top tier organization in the country, and the fourth year that it has been rated by Great Place to Work.®
Input from more than 95,000 employees in the health care and biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors was considered to establish the 2018 ranking. Great Place to Work evaluated more than 50 elements of team members’ experience on the job-such as “belief that their work makes a difference and “actually love coming to work”-to determine which organizations would be named the year’s Best Workplaces.
United Way of Rockland holds Spring Day of Caring
NYACK – Hundreds of volunteers will come together to complete essential projects for Rockland County’s health and human service providers during the United Way of Rockland Spring Day of Caring, April 20. The completion of these projects optimizes the operations of all the participating community services in the county, ultimately empowering them to better serve thousands of people. Celebrated as the largest single-day community service event in Rockland County, the Day of Caring mobilizes a collective force for good with the United Way as its backbone. Volunteer teams from local schools and companies will work together to reach a shared goal of improving the lives of individuals and families in need.
The event will be held at Palisades Credit Union Park, One Provident Bank Park Drive, Pomona. Lunch and a rally will be held at 11:30 a.m. The projects will range from painting to landscaping to power washing.
JDM Benefits’ Daniel Wright awarded
WHITE PLAINS – Daniel Wright, director of Business Development at JDM Benefits in White Plains, recently received the 2018 Outstanding Service Award from the New York State Association of Health Underwriters. The award which is bestowed upon members in recognition of their commitment to the principles and goals of the organization was given to Wright at the 12th annual Day on the Hill.
For two years, Wright been a board member of the organization, acting as the Communications Chair. He will soon take on the additional role of treasurer…
