Despite being on “Celebrity Apprentice” with Lil Jon, the president denied knowing who the rapper/DJ was during a heated press conference Wednesday. The Commander-in-Chief was asked about accusations of racism, including Lil Jon’s claim that Trump called him Uncle Tom.
“I don’t know who Lil Jon is,” Trump fired back.
“He was on ‘The Apprentice,’ ” the reporter replied. (Lil Jon appeared on the reality show with Trump, as a contestant, in 2011 and 2013.)
“Oh, he was?” Trump asked. “OK. Oh, I see. I don’t know… I would never do that, and I don’t use racist remarks, and you know what, if I did, you would’ve known about it.”
Writing off the notion that there are tapes of him using racist language, Trump reiterated, “I have never used racist remarks.”
