Katherine Harris, Licensed Social Worker is the new Behavioral Health Specialist at the Women’s Wellness Center at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital. Behavioral health specialists assist with many factors that impact mental, physical and emotional health and ultimately, quality of life. Katherine is working with the Women’s Health Initiative, part of the Vermont Blueprint for Health. The Women’s Health Initiative provides women with substantial preventive care services through women’s health clinic settings.
As a Behavioral Health Specialist, Katherine supports patients with problems ranging from depression, including during pregnancy and after delivery, anxiety, parenting stress, grief and loss, stress management, substance abuse, quitting smoking, managing chronic health conditions, a sudden emotional crisis, food and/or housing insecurity, birth control options, domestic violence, legal issues and more.
