As a general rule, royals aren’t particularly forthcoming with parenting advice (or anything even remotely related to their personal lives).
However, every now they’ll let something slip that provides an insight into how kids are raised behind the palace gates.
On Tuesday, this came in the form of a simple comment Kate Middleton made to a fan during her latest public engagement.
Visiting Basildon Sporting Centre as part of the Royal Foundation’s Coach Core programme, the Duchess of Cambridge, 36, was warmly embraced by Janet Emery.
Returning the affectionate gesture, the royal mum of three said, “Hugs are very important. That’s what I tell my children.”
