Grande Prairie volunteers were recognized with Senate 150th Anniversary Medals in Edmonton on Monday.
The medals were presented to Dennis Grant and the Society for Support to Pregnant and Parenting Teens by Senator Betty Unger at Government House. Lieutenant Governor Lois Mitchell also helped present the medals.
“I have told everybody, and I can’t stop speaking about it because it is such an honour,” said Dalene Pilat, chairwoman of the Society for Support to Pregnant and Parenting Teens.
The other organizations presented with the medals were Catholic Social Services, Cross Cancer Institute Volunteer Association and The Mustard Seed.
