TRAVERSE CITY — Big Beautiful Life Chiropractor Jena Hullman recently launched the “Empowered Parenting” support group using her emphasis in pediatrics and prenatal health.
She said she wanted to provide a safe space for other parents — especially mothers like herself — to share their experiences, ask questions and learn about different parenting options.
“Holistic means conscious living, making informed choices that are not always the status quo,” Hullman said. “I have experience with the void in our community for resources for parents who are trying to be holistic.”
Hullman provides information and time for discussion on topics like pregnancy, birth, parenting, healthcare and overall family wellness. Hullman said these are drawn, in part, from the Pathways to Family Wellness magazine.
Community experts are also invited to speak during support group meetings. Hullman said a local yoga instructor spoke in May and next month they plan to host a woman who leads…
