Country music star Carrie Underwood revealed Sunday that she suffered three miscarriages in 2017 and 2018, an emotional experience that helped inspire her to write music for her new album.
“I’d kind of planned that 2017 was, you know, going to be the year that I work on new music, and I have a baby,” Underwood said on CBS’ “Sunday Morning.” “We got pregnant early 2017, and didn’t work out.”
Underwood said she experienced a second miscarriage in 2017; and a third in early 2018. After the third loss, she said “it was just kind of like, ‘OK, like, what’s the deal?’
